Alicja Nocon

Alicja (‘A-lee-tsya’) Nocon is a late-diagnosed autistic coach and mentor, based in Croydon and working with clients worldwide. She helps late diagnosed / self-identified neurodivergent professionals make sense of who they are and how they want to be, so they can thrive and not only survive. Alicja understands the pressures of working in a corporate job, having worked in the financial services sector for 10 years prior to reinventing herself as an independent coach and mentor.

By creating a supportive and judgement-free thinking environment and sharing her knowledge and lived experience freely, Alicja empowers her clients to live a good and productive life on their own terms. Alicja’s clients have been able to drop the mask more and live more authentically. They have successfully influenced their work relationships and environments and made them more supportive and accepting of neurodivergent needs and ways of working.

Alicja has worked with clients across a range of neurovariants (autistic, ADHD, dyslexic – often a combination of two or more), ages, and gender, sexual and relationship identities. She supports clients at different career levels (specialist, manager, department head) and in various industries (from charities and public sector to technology, gaming and startups).

Alicja’s professional qualifications include an accreditation with the European Mentoring and Coaching Council at the Senior Practitioner level (see the certificate here) and a Master’s degree in Applied Positive Psychology and Coaching Psychology from the University of East London (Distinction). Her pioneering research on character strengths of autistic adults in the UK has been published in a peer-reviewed academic journal.

Alicja is an active member of the autistic community. She regularly participates at Autscape, the autistic conference, and shares her reflections in her blog.

Alicja’s Testimonials

“What I value most in Alicja’s approach is her flexibility towards my needs, her openness and willingness to gently encourage me in the right ways. She is clearly very engaged with the subject matter beyond coaching sessions, so I always felt confident I was with someone who not only had the right level of knowledge to be helpful, but also has a genuine desire to further neurodiverse understanding.”
Glenn, Autistic Data Analyst in the Tech Industry

“Coaching with Alicja has helped me to think about what I need. I think my issue was not about finding answers as much as realising what the questions were. I now know that I need to be asking myself who I am and who I want to be and working towards that, instead of thinking about who I need to be at work, or how to persuade trust. As a coach, Alicja expressed honesty, showed me lots of empathy and helped me stay on track. What I value most in Alicja’s approach was asking about my preferred communication style and setting boundaries and rules in the sessions that took into account both of our needs.”
Holly, Manager with ADHD in the Charity Sector

“Alicja was a guest speaker at the company-wide Neurodiversity Celebration Week. The insight I gained from Alicja was absolutely invaluable and will help me on my journey to becoming a more effective ally. It was fantastic to see the interaction between Alicja and our colleagues. It all felt very relaxed and conversational rather than formal. I think this is why there was so much engagement and positive feedback”
Caroline Barber, Neurodiversity Project Coordinator, Willis Towers Watson
