We deliver autism training, sexuality training, learning disability awareness and challenging behaviour training each year to care providers:
Often it is the staff who spend the most time with individuals with autism - support and care staff - who receive the least training. These staff are so valuable in determining the quality of care for people with autism and we are committed to providing practical training that shows how to understand and prevent challenging behaviour. The majority of challenging behaviour from people with autism is caused by a lack of understanding of the perspective and experience of the person, which is considerably different to a person without autism.
Our training can be co-presented by an adult on the Autistic Spectrum, who shares their experiences and unique view of the world.
We deliver training courses in-house to groups of all sizes, with special discounts for groups smaller than 8 - meeting the needs of small care providers. Contact us for more details.
