Jess’ main focus is private non-clincal autism assessments, supervised clinical neurodevelopmental assessments with Axia-ASD and writing. Jess was trained by Sarah Hendrickx to carry out these assessments. Our non-clinical assessments are pefect for people that would like confirmation of their neurodivergence, but do not neccessarliy need the full proof that a clinical diagnosis offers. After the assessment, you will be provided with a comprehensive report outling how you meet/do not meet the diagnostic criteria. A report is written by Jess regardless of the outcome. As of spring 2024, Jess has assessed over 250 people.

Jess is available for training and public speaking events.

Jess is also a published authour, contributing a chapter on autism and eating to Sarah Hendrickx’s Women and Girls on the Autism Spectrum, second edition. Jess is currently writing a book for people discovering autism and how gto navigate diagnosis.

Jess took over Hendrickx Associates from Sarah Hendrickx in 2019 and will be your first point of call for all enquiries. She had previously worked for Hendrickx Associates as an Administrator for several years gaining more experience of autism which led her to work as a mentor and coach for autistic young people (16+) and autistic adults. Jess has a clinical diagnosis of autism, ADHD, and dyslexia, and her partner is self-diagnosed autistic. She has two children so understands how being autistic can affect pregnancy and motherhood, in both a positive and negative way. Jess is the daughter of Sarah Hendrickx and therefore understands the experience of having an autistic parent. Jess has a Post Graduate Certificate in Autism and Asperger Syndrome from Sheffield Hallam University.

What an incredible presenter - insightful, honest, brave and funny.  Not only that, but she was extremely educational; we gained some real insights into growing up as an autistic teenager and also some useful hints and tips on how to improve the wellbeing of the wonderful autistic individuals we support.
