The day is delivered by Sarah Hendrickx, a published author and experienced trainer and practitioner in the field of Asperger Syndrome and co-presented by an adult with Asperger Syndrome who will share experiences, motivations and perspectives of the autistic mind.
We hope to give a unique insight in the ‘whys?’ of Asperger Syndrome behaviour and thought processes.
The day will include an in-depth
look at:
• Characteristics of the condition
• The Autistic Spectrum – history and explanation
• Implications for the individual with Asperger Syndrome and
for those supporting them
• Considerations for supporting both adults and children with
Asperger Syndrome
• Strategies and approaches for living and working with those
with Asperger Syndrome
Previous participants have included
parents, partners, foster carers, education and employment support
professionals who are given the opportunity to share their diverse
experiences. The day is suitable for those working with either children
or adults and both groups benefit from insight from fellow participants
sharing experiences of different and similar age ranges.
Cost:
£165.00 for professionals.
£85.00 for parents/carers of, or those with, Asperger Syndrome.
